Could you share the vision and story behind the founding of your fashion brand?
-I've
been designing for 14 years, starting in
my mother's small tailor shop in Ikotun, Lagos. Growing up surrounded by
vibrant ankara and lace fabrics and watching my mother turn these fabrics into
elegant pieces inspired me. The brand “Loui_chee” was born in 2017 and it came
from my desire to showcase African elegance with a modern, global appeal.

sets your brand apart from others in the fashion industry?
My
brand’s ability of blending traditional African prints with contemporary
silhouettes. Our designs celebrate Ankara, Asoke and other contemporary
Fabrics. We specialize in sustainable fashion, working with local artisans to
create vibrant, modern pieces that celebrate Nigerian heritage.

significant challenges have you faced in growing and sustaining your brand, and
how have you overcome them?

Building a Loyal Customer Base**
- Challenge: In a saturated market,
attracting and retaining customers is tough.
- Solution: I prioritize exceptional
customer service, personalized experiences, and consistent engagement through
social media ,exclusive offers have also helped foster long-term relationships.

- Solution: I’ve focused on cost-effective

I blend
traditional African prints with contemporary silhouettes. My designs celebrate

fashion, working with local artisans to create vibrant, modern pieces that
celebrate Nigerian heritage.

The
most notable collaboration was a bridal robe collaboration i did with
Photoculture and Clairezbeauty, which was a transformative project that left a
lasting impact on my fashion business. By combining Photoculture’s expertise in
visual storytelling and Clairezbeauty’s mastery of bridal aesthetics, the
collaboration redefined my concept for bridal elegance. It impacted me through
Increasing my brand’s visibility, it gave me new design perspectives, it
enhanced my customer experience and gave me more industry influence

appeal?
Our
brand strikes a balance between incorporating current trends and maintaining a
timeless appeal by thoughtfully integrating trends while staying true to our
core values, we create fashion that feels fresh and modern yet retains a
timeless elegance. This approach allows our customers to build a wardrobe that
is both stylish and enduring.

Fashion trends evolve rapidly, and staying
ahead of the curve can be demanding. I have focused on building a timeless
brand identity while incorporating trendy elements, Regularly analyzing market
trends, engaging with customers, and showcasing on social media helps keep the
brand fresh and relevant.

As
a fashion brand, the key values and principles that guide our business
decisions are Sustainability, Inclusivity, Quality, Innovation, Transparency,
Customer-Centricity, Timelessness and Integrity. These values and principles
shape our brand identity and guide us in making decisions that align with our
mission to create a positive impact in the fashion industry.

with and engaging our target audience is a top priority for our brand. we employ key strategies like Authentic
Storytelling, Social Media Engagement, Personalized Marketing, Interactive

and Customer Feedback Loop. By combining these strategies, we create meaningful

do you see your brand evolving in the nex
5-10
years?
I envision expanding Loui_chee globally, opening flagship stores in London, New York, and Dubai. We're also developing a sustainable fashion initiative and mentoring emerging Nigerian designers.

designs?
Our
brand celebrates the rich cultural heritage and diversity of Nigeria while
incorporating modern design elements. some unique and signature elements that

Vibrant Prints: We use traditional African prints like Ankara, Kente, and
Adire, which are known for their vibrant colors and intricate patterns. These
prints are often reinterpreted in contemporary styles to create unique,
eye-catching designs.

Details: Many of our pieces feature hand-embroidered patterns, beadwork, or
appliqués, showcasing the artistry and craftsmanship of Nigerian artisans.
These details add a personal touch and cultural significance to each garment.
-Sustainable Fabrics: We prioritize the use of eco-friendly and locally sourced materials, such as organic cotton, bamboo, and recycled fabrics. This not only supports local economies but also aligns with our commitment to sustainability.

My
brand has embraced some technological innovations to enhance both operations
and product development. We’ve integrated 3D design software to create precise
and customizable patterns, allowing for faster designing and reduced material
waste. we transitioned from manual to industrial sewing machines for faster
stitching speeds, greater precision, and the ability to handle heavier fabrics,
enabling us to scale operations and meet higher demands. Additionally, we have
also integrated Social Media and Marketing platforms like Instagram, Pinterest,
and Tik-Tok, combined with scheduling tools like Hootsuite or Buffer, which have
amplified our brand visibility and engagement.
16. What are some defining moments in your brand's history that have shaped its identity and trajectory?
I
have had some defining moments over the years but the most notable one was my
collaboration with photoculture and clairezbeauty, because of the significant
boost it brought to my business’s visibility and credibility. By merging
high-fashion design with expert photography and beauty artistry, the
collaboration showcased my brand’s ability to deliver luxury and
sophistication. The stunning visuals from the campaign went viral, attracting a
wider audience and increasing client inquiries. This partnership not only
elevated my brand’s reputation but also set a new standard for my bridal
fashion.
17. Can
you share any upcoming projects or endeavors your brand is particularly excited
about?
I
have an upcoming collection of workwear And corporate outfits for Nigerian
women called “the timeless collection” .This new collection features a blend of
traditional cultural elements with modern, professional aesthetics, creating a
unique, stylish and comfortable wardrobe for the workplace, that would help the
Nigerian woman feel beautiful, comfortable and seen in her workplace. And would

What are some long-term goals and aspirations
My
long-term goal is to set up a fashion Branch In the UK, and other countries. To
be able to cater to the fashion needs of women all around the world, Bringing
Nigeria to every woman in the world .
I
also aspire to become a renowned fashion designer and making my fashion brand a
strong name in the fashion world
