IT'S A DELUGE OF SOCCER MATCHES ACROSS EUROPE BUT I'M
STICKING TO THE BEST 4 LEAGUES.
POLE POSTION
chelsea have a cruise ctrl on the epl as they r hoping to win their
first titler in 5 years. they have been handed a relatively easy
fixture against stoke: easy because they have won 10 games, lost
1 and drawn 2.
LIVERPOOL VS ARSENAL
this is a match that has produced more hat-trik than any other
match in the epl with henry, crouch and arshavin's quadruple.
but memorably, it produced the fastest hat-trik in the history of
football with robbie fowler scoring in 4mins 36 seconds. a win
for arsenal will see them leap frog man city and reduce chelsea's
lead to four as the latter will be playing later on, while a win for
the reds will reduce the top four point to 3.
MAINTAINING MOMENTUM
fresh from delivering a first defeat in 2015 for liverpool, united
will hope to continue their winning streak against the villains and
why not? the villains have won just 1 game in 34 years at old
trafford. i know statistics are like mini-skirts, they don't reveal
everything but aston villa will hope that their recently
resurrected striker: christian benteke will lace his scoring boots
and produce a shocker at old trafford.
HURRY KANE!!!!
they are within touching distance of the coveted ucl spot and
they hope harry will kane burnley and put them on track.
SPAIN
the el classico might just be decider in who wins the la liga bbva
this term as it was el classico that put madrid on top of the
league back in october and it has given barca a cushion at the
zenith of la liga. there are enough spaces at the top but not
enough to sit. this will be a huge reminder to barca not to take a
foot off the gas.
atletico madrid and valencia has been reduced to the position of
bridesmaid in this la liga affair as the former will look forward to
leap frogging the latter this weekend
ITALY
when i shack so much i can speak italian. this league has
redefined the term boring as juventus are gunning fot their
fourth consecutive scudetto. the likes of napoli, roma, inter and
ac milan are nothing but pretenders as they can't wrestle the
scudetto from juve's strangle hold. they might be called, "old
ladies" but they do have a firm grip.
GERMANY
the bundesliga will be lightened up as bayern will face off
dortmund in a match that has been a german version of el
classico but it's not to be this term as dortmund are a far cry
from what they were two years ago. i still hope the match
produces a spectacle for our eyes as bayern's domination as
made the bundesliga nothing short of a bore.
starting from 12: 45 europe will be on fire with these mouth-
watery and league deciding clashes, enjoy the match but don't
get burnt. ciao
