FOUNDATION OF YOUR DESTINY

Challenges are indispensible to life. We say
that necessity is the mother of all invention,
that very correct but mothers alone do not
give birth, they must be impregnated by
fathers. If necessity is the mother of all
invention, then challenge is the father that impregnate the mother
of 'necessity'. Let’s take an example of a farmer who has
to cultivate his 5plot farm land for himself
and his family. He will not need much
external hands in addition to his own. If this
farm now grows to occupy a landmass of
10,000 plots, he will defiantly need more hands, even if he
employs many hands he
find that salary alone can eat up every profit
he ever dreamt of mechanized farming is the
only option, here will have to procure
machines which has to be designed by an
engineer. So we see that the challenge of the farmer necessitates
the invention of the
engineer. In the process of achieving the greatness
within you, challenges must come. M Scott
Peck in his classic book the Roadless
travelled, tells us that the greatest truth
about life is that life is difficult, he called it a
great truth because once we know that life is difficult then it no
longer matters as by then
we understand and accept it and by so doing
we transcend lifes’ difficulty. He went
further to assert that its in the process of
solving lifes challenges that life has its
meaning as challenges cal forth our wisdom; during chalenges we
go into our closet and
make use of our brainpower, its only
challenges that make us grow mentally and
spiritually . Have you seen this hand picture before ? Lets also
remember one of the discoveries of
psychologists; they have found out that our
ability to learn is what differentiates us from
animals. The question now becomes, will you whine
about your life challenges or are you going to
learn and grow from them. Put your challenges in perspective.
Exercise On a fresh page -write down all the challenges that
impede
your progress in your various Endeavours’ -try to find out the
causes or how the
challenge came about. -how long do you think the challenge will
last.
