JUST ANOTHER WEDNESSDAY
Just another Wednesday!
As I visited with a family on Christmas day, I met the husband of my friend in the sitting room busy with the laptop and seriously engrossed with his work. Watching him very closely, I casually commented “I see you’ve been able to extend office to the house” he
apologized for not been able to attend to me explaining he had some documents he needed to work on and email, and then he said yeah I know it’s Christmas but it’s also “just another Wednesday”
Now that got to me in a new way, I mean this is Christmas where everybody is caught in the euphoria of the accompanying events and pageantry, and yet you say it’s just another Wednesday, like every other day, no spectacle
just the same old mundane, normal and routine. As I contemplated the significance of words like, I realized that what truly changes for us as we enter a new year is not the pattern of the
days of the week, I mean today is December 31st and the next day is a new year, how is that? Yet, things can look largely the same or each day can have a whole new meaning; I mean
it can be just another Wednesday like every other Wednesday or it can be that unique and significant Wednesday to start new disciplines, design a lifestyle, change the direction of our
entire life or get beauty, glamour and style into our lives. For truly the changes occur in our consciousness, before transcending into our lives outwardly.
Whatever changes you want to see in your life, you can start the process today, it doesn’t have
to be a Wednesday it can be a Thursday, a Tuesday or Friday; it actually doesn’t matter what day it is, we can however let it be that day that turns our whole life around. As we get into a new year, there is a gift we have all received, a deposit of 365 days credited into our account without any labour or investment on our part, but the question is what are you going to give the world this year?
